A corresponding package of legislative amendments has already been initiated in Parliament and has been submitted to committees for consideration.
The changes were prepared by deputies from the "Georgian Dream" faction.
Today, at a briefing in Parliament, the Speaker of Parliament, Shalva Papuashvili, called these institutions "imposed from the outside."
"These changes will ensure the alignment of the governance system with the institutional framework established by the Constitution, the optimization of state resources - by approximately 20 million GEL annually, the simplification of structural functions, clearer responsibilities, and more effective management," Papuashvili stated.
